Does husband taking Finasteride decrease chance of becoming pregnant? We have 2 kids and would like 1 more. My husband was taking Finasteride for about 3 years and we tried to get pregnant but couldn't. He stopped taking this med because it is expensive and 2 months later I was pregnant. Our baby is 1 yr old and we have been trying for 3 mos to get pregnant with no luck. He told me he started taking the Finasteride again about 5 mos ago. Is this med known to interfere with conception?

What happens to the prostate when the patient STOPS taking finasteride (propecia)? Is there rebound BPH? Earlier BPH or prostate cancer? what?

This stops the growth of the prostate and can even cause it to become smaller. Stopping the growth of the prostate or reducing its size may help relieve pain or urination problems caused by prostatitis. So when you stop this medication you have have a recurrence of symptoms. Prostate will continue to grow larger. BPH and prostate cancer are 2 different things. Just because you have BPH doesn't mean you'll get prostate cancer. Having a PSA test would be a way of showing if you have prostate cancer. Its not REAL reliable and only a good biopsy will tell you for sure. Sometimes biopsy results are inaccurate. Its like taking a grain of sand from a bucket, if you don't get enough you can't be sure."

Will I lose more hair if I stop Finasteride ? I consumed both Finasteride and Minoxidil for about a month. Rash appeared around my neck, chest and face.
